Aleratec today introduced the 1:1 HDD Copy Dock USB3.0, a new portable hard disk drive duplicator and docking station for professionals and enthusiasts. This simple, powerful duplicator in a compact device is an indispensable tool for building and upgrading computer systems.
The 1:1 HDD Copy Dock USB3.0 is a single device that can copy hard disks and also serve as a dual hard drive dock. Its portable weighing in at just over three poundsand features easy, one-button operation. Despite its small size, the 1:1 HDD Copy Dock USB3.0 is a standalone hard disk duplicator, so theres no need to tie up a computer running complicated duplication software.
The Copy Dock USB3.0 has a fast, sector-by-sector copy process, including partition and boot sector information that creates perfect clones and backups of the source disk. All sectors are duplicated, so the partition map and clone disk size are an exact match to the original. This new duplicator and docking station also features a convenient status bar that allows users to monitor the progress of the duplication process.
The 1:1 HDD Copy Dock USB3.0 duplicates any combination of 2.5 and 3.5 SATA hard disk drives and solid-state drives (SSDs). Compact Flash (CF) memory, CFast memory and 50mm mSATA drives can also be duplicated using optional adapters, not included.
The quick-connect hard disk drive bays and HDD release buttons make it possible to quickly and easily mount or dismount either drive in seconds.
As a docking station, the 1:1 HDD Copy Dock USB3.0 can be connected to the USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 ports of a PC with the included SuperSpeed USB 3.0 cable. This high-speed connection allows users instant access to the contents of up to two connected hard disk drives at a time. This is an efficient way to add additional storage to an existing computer or back up a computers critical data.
